Just a taste…
We hold wine tastings during regular business hours Fridays and Saturdays. This week, Aug. 5-6, we’re tasting Fiddletown Cellars Old Vine Zinfandel, Conde Villar Vinho Verde Rose and West Wind Farm New River White.
Fiddletown Cellars Old Vine Zinfandel*
Great wine, great label and perfect with anything from the grill. Ripe, juicy, rounded and loaded with black fruit, aromas and flavors, this is our official pick for this Smoke on the Mountain weekend. On the long finish, there’s a touch of oak and an underlying hint of caramel. This pairs well with substantial foods, including barbecue, beef, pork, stews, pastas and hearty cheeses.
Conde Villar Vinho Verde Rose
What’s more fun for summer than tangy fruit-filled, lightly spritzy and refreshing Vinho Verde Rose? Bright raspberry color with fresh aromas and tastes of red berries. Smooth and creamy with a tangy tingle of fresh acidity on the finish. Easy-drinking. Great value.
West Wind Farm New River White
New River White is reminiscent of the grapes your grandparents grew around their front porch; we loved them as kids. Now try the grown-up version! Niagara grapes make this delightfully fruity wine, especially served chilled on a hot summer day.
